One of the most cost-effect methods for generating new leads, growing subscriptions, or increasing brand awareness is search engine marketing. In a nutshell, search engine marketing allows a business to reach or target users who search, on a search engine such as Google, for terms related to a brand or product.
For example, Bill from Idaho is intently watching the the U.S. men's curling game at the PyeongChang Olympics. He is instantly enthralled by the sport and wants to learn more about it. When Bill Googles 'Team Shuster curling' for more information about his new favourite team he is presented with an ad for a curling publication which has Olympic predictions. Bill needs to know how his team compares to the rest of the field so he subscribes.
The example above is not entirely fictional. Although the names and locations depicted may not be accurate the search campaign definitely was. In a future blog we will divulge the results of our initial search campaign!
